Mural by Richard Moore in a San Jose State University science building depicting his interpretation of PUGWUS, a deity of the sea to the Tlingit tribe in Washington state. Richard Moore was a SJSU student and painted this mural around the elevator in 1974.

Community members were invited to help put in the base layer of solid colors over a weekend. Then, Paul J. Gonzalez spent a couple of weeks finishing the mural.

This art work was designed to interact with NOAA weather data to change the light patterns at night that go along with the paint. Heavier winds would increase the motion of the lighting effects.
